We were recently approached by a local Parish Church in Loughborough who reported that they had two damaged Suntech STP245S–20/Wd solar panels on the Church roof connected to three SMA Sunny Boy inverters.
The solar panels were damaged by failing masonry on the church roof which caused cracks as shown in the images below. C Gascoigne Ltd attended site with access equipment and replaced the broken panels. The system was quickly back in production to the delight of the church parishioners as the PV system has proven to be a valuable source of revenue since being installed 5 years earlier.
